Chapter Meetings

The National Drifters, Incorporated chapters meet monthly to consider issues of interest to their communities and focus on community needs.  Based on these identified issues, plans are developed to implement activities and events designed to enhance their communities as well as the image of womanhood.  Meetings also provide the time to deepen friendships through socializing and fun.

Regional Cluster Meetings

Cluster meetings are comprised of National Drifter Chapters that are in the same geographical proximity of the United States.  These meetings give the Drifters the opportunity to network, share ideas, and fellowship between National Conventions.  Cluster meetings are presided over by the local hosting chapter.  As new chapters are added to the organization, the membership of the regional clusters changes to accommodate the growing membership.  Although smaller in numbers than a national convention, the Drifter women never miss a chance to deepen their friendships, revel in their sisterhood, and celebrate their great accomplishments.

National Meetings

Annually, The National Drifters, Incorporated hold their National Convention in various cities across the country.  The National Convention provides the opportunity for participants to fellowship with Drifters from every part of the country and share innovative ideas for enhancing their lives as well as the lives of people in their communities.  During the convention, time is allotted for “Human Services” presentations by local chapters.  The presentations provide the opportunity for chapters to highlight and share their advocacy efforts and serve as a forum for the recognition of outstanding programs and activities.

Honors and recognition are bestowed upon chapter members for organization longevity, extraordinary effort, and dedication to the theme:  “Strengthen Our Families to Build Better Communities: Save our children, Assist our seniors”

Although the business of the organization is transacted in plenary sessions, every national convention offers a myriad of opportunities for entertainment, socializing, unforgettable fun, and fond memories.
